Drury Inn & Suites Lafayette LA

We were passing through Lafayette on our way to Texas. We had never stayed at a Drury hotel, but found it on Booking.com, and it looked good. The rooms looked really nice, they had a free hot breakfast and the price was very reasonable. Before we even entered the lobby, Juliana (behind the desk) was already giving us a huge welcoming smile. This was the nicest, friendliest and fastest check in that we have ever experienced. From my ID, she saw I was a Veteran and thanked me sincerely for my service. She made sure we had all the information we needed and directed us to our room. The suite was fabulous. It had a beautifully decorated living room, full size fridge and a large bedroom with a great view. My wife rarely sleeps through the night, but she never woke once. The temperature was great, the bed was really comfortable and there was no sound, even though the freeway was nearby. I called Juliana a couple times more for questions about restaurants and the “Drive Through Daquiri” locations around Lafayette (Yes, very legal. No you can’t drink and drive). She was spot on with her information. Breakfast was great. Good choices, everything was hot that was supposed to be. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, grits, oatmeal, fruit, cereal, toast and more. Really good and the staff working the restaurant went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel is conveniently located very near the freeway. We were considering taking a different route back home, but have decided to go ahead and book Lafayette Drury Inn just because we had such a great experience. I think this would be a great place to meet family or a small business meeting. They have a beautiful area on the fifth floor with tables and chairs and a great view. I don’t know if they rent it for conferences, but if they do, it would be great. Great experience.I hope you have the same experience at Drury Inn that we did.

Julie, Detra, Theresa were all very nice. Julie has excellent Customer skills and makes you feel very welcome at at ease. Her laughter is infectious. Detra manages the kitchen and has things very organized and clean. She gives excellent suggestions for breakfast and is very . Her breakfast suggestion kept me going all day. Theresa keeps the place running very efficiently. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Give Julie a pay raise.

A very spacious room and the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little bit pricier than others, but it is worth it. There is a pool and jacuzzi outside. A family friendly place to stay.

Great food choices. Friendly, helpful staff. I made a mistake in making our reservation and actually made the reservation for thevDrury Inn in LaFayette,, LA. The two clerks at the front desk (Vikki and Angel(?) were able to find a room large enough to accommodate our party and one of them even submitted a form to reimburse us for the cost of the room I had mistakenly reserved in Louisiana. Drury should be proud to have employees of their caliber.

Staff was friendly and professional. They offer a free dinner (hot dogs, pulled-pork sliders, mac and cheese, chips and cheese sauce, salad) and 3 free drinks. Nice touch. Plenty of parking for trucks and travel trailers.
